Check voltage listed on unit. Some RVs don't supply 110 Volts, which is standard indoor electrical voltage in US. If unit shuts down randomly or doesn't start at all, this can be problem.
Check condenser coils and inside evaporator if air isn't coming out cold. These can get blocked and refrigerant won't flow properly to these parts. evaporator coils are located under air filter.
Inspect air filter if air conditioner isn't cold. air filter needs to be removed from air conditioner unit and vacuumed one time week. No tools are necessary to remove filter, it should slide right off RV air conditioner.
Feel air coming out of air conditioner. If air is cold but RV is still warm or hot, then you should try installing shades to block out sun.
